For me, Easter is the heartbeat of our faith…the day hope became real, grace became personal, and new life became possible for all of us. Back in the 80s and 90s, pregnancy photos weren’t giving red carpets, flower walls, smoke bombs, or couture belly gowns. They were giving “Move the camera before I blink” and one good shot if the film developed right. 😂
But candid or not, these snapshots hold something today’s polished perfection can’t always capture so effortlessly: the quiet wonder of becoming someone’s mother. Looking at these old pregnancy moments and seeing Kristian and Justin in the making pop into the frame now feels like life winking back at me. Two seasons, two miracles, two boys who once fit beneath my heart and now stand in the world as men. There may not have been glamour, but there was love, hope, swollen face and ankles, and a whole lot of faith in what was to come. And honestly? That’s still the most beautiful maternity story of all.

Good times and bad times come for all of us in this life, but I find comfort in this verse:
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 ESV
It doesn’t mean that all of our problems are going to be solved, but it is a comfort, knowing that we’re not
carrying the burdens alone.
