Growing up in the Brooklyn housing projects wasn’t just a chapter in my life; it was the foundation upon which I built my dreams and aspirations.
I met Cindy on Instagram the way many of us are meeting these days, liking posts, commenting, and chatting with other Silver Sisters. Captivated by gorgeous photos of her idyllic life of bunnies, critters, and gardens coupled with photos of one of my favorite places...
Weren’t the 90s like 10 years ago?
Nope.
It was like thirty-something years ago!
Swipe left for more…then and now.
Miss Janet was in her prime, hit after hit…
How did that happen?#tbt
Looking at these photos, I realize how much time we actually spend with our babies—and how fast it all goes by. Now I finally understand why my mother used to say she wished I would stay little. 😂
Kris was such a good, quiet, content baby. He hardly cried and even back then you could see that independent streak in him.
Now he’s 33 Big years old!😲
(Swipe to last pic to see him now.)
Thanks for taking a little trip down memory lane with me. These old baby photos have been sitting in a box in my closet for years, so honestly… this might be the only way they’ll ever see the light of day! 😄
I’m grateful I get to dust them off and share these sweet little moments with you. 💛
Love you Kris!❤️❤️

At first, we laughed.
“Did you take out the trash?”“I don’t have any cash!”
Cute… until it wasn’t.
Little miscommunications have a way of piling up. What starts as funny can slowly turn into frustration. Repeating yourself. Missing details. Feeling disconnected in your own home.
The truth? Hearing loss as we age is more common than people talk about — and pretending it’s “no big deal” doesn’t make it go away.
On this #WorldHearingDay, we’re sharing something personal.
Dave decided to try the Ceretone Core One Pro — an over-the-counter hearing device designed for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss. No complicated setup. Discreet design and they sit in the ear, so his glasses fit comfortably.. Four hearing modes for different environments. And a battery that keeps up with real life
But here’s what mattered most to us:
We stopped missing each other.
Conversations feel easy again. The TV isn’t blasting. Nature sounds like nature. And I’m not repeating myself five times a day (which, let’s be honest, was not cute).
Hearing support didn’t just change what he hears.It changed how we connect.
This is our personal experience and is not intended as medical advice — just a reminder that clarity matters. And asking for support isn’t weakness. It’s wisdom.
Because when you stop missing words…you stop missing moments.

Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Psalm 14:1 The fool has said in his heart,“ There is no God.”
The majesty of God’s creation speaks for itself.
• Order implies intelligence.
* Law implies a law-giver.
* Design implies a designer.
You don’t walk into a cathedral and assume a tornado assembled it.
Earth rotates at roughly 1,000 miles per hour at the equator.
And yet… you don’t feel it.
Gravity is silent. Invisible. Relentless.
It holds:
* You to the ground
* The oceans in their basins
* The atmosphere wrapped around Earth
* The Moon in orbit
* The planets circling the Sun
*
Mountains aren’t just pretty backdrops for Instagram.
They:
* Regulate climate patterns
* Drive rainfall distribution
* Anchor tectonic balance
Just some things to ponder if you think this earth was created by some Big Bang. I’m sorry but a big bang can’t even wash and put away the dishes.

This body has changed with time — softer curves, silver strands, stories etched in every line.
And through every shift, I’ve never stopped claiming what makes me feel alive, desired, fully woman.
Sexy isn’t a number on a birthday card; it’s the quiet knowing that I’m still here, still radiant, still vibrant, still worthy of feeling beautiful in my skin.
It’s not about chasing youth — it’s about embracing the woman I’ve always been, and the woman I’ve become.
If you’re reading this and wondering if it’s still possible… yes, beautiful. It absolutely is.
Let’s keep owning our glow, one graceful chapter at a time. 💫

I Thrifted this neon green dress, and I can’t tell whether it’s vintage or not. The fabric feels like those slinky knits from the 1990s early 2000s. Either way I’m not gonna keep it. It does not flatter my figure. IYKYK IF. It makes me look shorter, so I covered it with a cardigan and some knee-high boots to make it work.
If you’re interested in this dress, send me a DM. It’s it says a size Large.

Reflecting back on my faith walk, I realize that my early introduction to the man named Jesus Christ and his life had a profound impact on me. I attended St. Agnes Parochial School, and these are slides of my first Holy Communion. I was around 7 years old. I remember Catechism class, and the amazing grandeur of mass at St. Agnes Church in Brooklyn. Those early years formed my reverence for all things spiritual. I’m glad my parents sacrificed and sent me to parochial school.
Although I am no longer catholic, this and my praying mother set the foundation for my faith walk today. Thank you mom, I can still feel your prayers! 🥲🙏🏽❤️
Because of the impact it had on me, I also sent my boys to catholic school. I pray it continues to impact their spiritual life as well.
You can see the backdrop of the Gowanus Housing projects where I grew up. The last slide is me with my mother’s best friend, Miss Amparo.
Do you have a childhood faith memory?

A little late, but this is another one of my favorite verses. I’ve been at rock bottom a time or two in this ole life. We all have, haven’t we?
If not for God, and His word keeping me afloat during those times, I don’t know where I’d be. We can’t trust in or count on man, can we?
But God…🙏🏽
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
Can I get an Amen? Have a blessed week and stay warm Fam.❤️

I finally understand that confidence isn’t about looking young… it’s about loving the woman who made it THIS far. And let me tell you — she’s fearless, she’s curious, and she’s come a long way.
If you’re waiting for permission to begin again, here you go: wear the outfit, book the trip, start the thing, say YES to yourself.
Because growing older isn’t the loss of youth — it’s the privilege of freedom.
