Throwback Thursday.
NYC High School Art & Design circa 1975.
I was in renowned artist Max Ginsburg’s painting class, and on this day I was the painting subject for the class.(See Max in the background) I think I saw Max’s rendition of me once. What a great artist and teacher, and great memories! He captures people of NYC like no one else. I believe he is still alive at 94.
But about the teenage angst-it’s a real thing! When I look back, I hardly smiled in my photos. Typical of a teenager. My granddaughter is now 13, and also does not like to smile in photos. I get it. It’s a tough age-growing up. Body changing. Mind changing .You are developing, and finding out just who you are.

Thanks for walking with me down memory Lane. The 70s still remains one of my favorite decades of creativity, exploration, and amazing days in New York City.
