They say love belongs to the young… but some of the best love stories begin when you finally know who you are. ❤️
Over 50 isn’t the ending — it’s the chapter where love feels calmer, deeper, and real.If you’re still hoping, still believing, still open… your story isn’t late. It’s just getting started.
✨ Love is always possible.

Say Yes if you’re still hopeful.
Say No if you’re just tired and have given up!
Big Hair, Big Dreams.
Loved the 80s music, style, work, and of course the fun. In politics, we all just agreed to disagree. We felt pretty safe. And didn’t have to worry about being trolled or hated for a difference of opinion. My how things have changed.
Can’t we all just get along?🤷🏽♀️
Oh, and peep my vintage Reeboks👀

I might look confident in this photo, but trust me—I haven’t always felt this way. 😌
I’ve always had a sharp eye for style (hello, former designer life 👗), but looking put-together was often my shield. People would compliment the outfit and never see the shy girl hiding behind it. It’s easy to hide in plain sight when everyone’s distracted by the clothes.
Growing up as the only girl with four older brothers, I got used to staying quiet. My oldest brother once told me my opinion didn’t matter “because I was just a girl.” Those words stuck deeper than I realized, keeping me in the shadows, comfortable behind the scenes, friendly but never front and center.
Then, in my 30s, everything flipped. He started bragging about my career, putting me on a pedestal. One day I finally spoke up—confronted the old hurt—and let it go. Turns out he didn’t even know how much it affected me. I’ve forgiven him completely. But man, it taught me: words matter. To your kids, your friends, your partner—they land heavier than we think. 💔➡️❤️
Fast forward to today: I’m out here on social media, gray hair and all, no more hiding. The moment I stopped apologizing for myself, the world started reflecting that acceptance back. Sure, I still get the occasional negative comment, but the love far outweighs it. I’m content, confident, and fully embracing my Big Age. 🌟
If you’ve ever felt like you’re hiding behind a polished exterior, or letting old words hold you back—know this: You don’t have to stay there. Accept yourself unapologetically, step into your truth, and watch how boldly the right people show up.
Who’s with me? Drop a ❤️ if this hits home, or share your own “I used to hide but now...” moment below. Let’s lift each other up. ✨

Are you stepping into your big age confidently?
I get a lot of messages from women just starting their gray journey. Some are cruising through it. Others are wrestling with it daily, trying hard to like what they see in the mirror. And I get it.
That transition phase? It’s no joke. Watching that line of demarcation creep in can mess with your confidence. I remember seeing new gray growth and thinking I looked dusty until I ran back for a color touch-up. The shift happened when I stopped dyeing and fully accepted that there would be an in-between season. No shortcuts. No pretending.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I went gray:
1. You have to be all in. No half-stepping. Yes, it might look rough at times. That’s the truth. Get creative and keep moving forward anyway.
2. Scarves, hats, braids, wigs—use them. They’re not cheating, they’re tools.
3. Not everyone will support you. Some people project their own fears. Stay anchored in your decision and keep it pushing.
4. When you approve of yourself, the world follows your lead. Confidence teaches people how to treat you.
5. This is the season of releasing the need for outside approval. Quietly, gracefully, and without apology.
We’ve spent decades worrying about what everyone else thinks. This chapter is about caring what you think—and choosing yourself first.
If you’ve got tips for women going gray, drop them in the comments. We learn faster when we do this together.

Romans 8:38-39
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.“
I don’t have anything to add to this Word.
Have a Blessed week!

The 70s was my favorite era, but a close second was the 80s. Fully entrenched in my design career, traveling to Asia to work with various factories, all with big 1980s hair. These photos were taken in Taiwan and the Philippines. While traveling to the Philippines, I got to meet my mother’s side of the family for the first time. That was exciting!!! In the first photo, I was celebrating my 30th birthday in Taiwan. Great memories.

I’m loving this cute jacket @luxe133az Downtown Prescott. Don’t know if it’s vintage, and it might even be menswear, but I’m good. It’s by G-Style, and it’s a fun little versatile piece, and keeping up with the animal skin trend. I have several ideas how to rock this jacket so stay tuned!

It’s not Throwback Thursday or Tuesday—I just wanted to re-introduce myself to any new followers.
My name is Adelina. I was born and raised in good old Brooklyn, New York, and those roots are still firmly planted. I am Black and Filipina, and grew up in the housing projects, fell in love with art, and studied fashion design. New York City shaped me. I had a rewarding career in fashion, traveled the world, loved deeply, and lost deeply.
I’m the proud mother of two amazing sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren. Through all of life’s storms—and there have been many—my faith and my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, are what keep me grounded and centered.
Toward the end of 2018, I made the decision to stop dyeing my hair and embrace my silver crown. That single choice changed the trajectory of my life. I found the Silver Sister community—and they found me. It opened the door to an entirely new chapter here on social media, where I share my life and build meaningful brand partnerships along the way. Being seen and valued by brands for exactly who you are and where you are in life is truly a blessing. It really is a beautiful time to be alive.
I also met an amazing man online in 2017, and we married in 2022, and we live in Arizona—proof that love is absolutely possible after 50. I’m grateful to inspire mature women who are still open to love, joy, and new beginnings.
That’s me in a nutshell. I’m here to inspire, to share my faith, and to do it all while staying fly.
So this is me, then-bright eyed at one year old, and now-bright haired at 68, and all aglow…
Zoom in if you’d like. No Fillers. No Filters. Just me-> some lines, some creases- aging like fine wine. This is 68 ‘bout to be 69.
If there’s anything you’d like me to post about or share, let me know in the comments below.
And thank you—to all of my followers, new and longtime. Some of you have been rocking with me since the early days around the pandemic. I don’t always see everyone’s posts anymore, so feel free to drop a hello below. 🤍
