These are the best of times. These are the worst of times.
AI is wonderful and frightening all at the same time.
We are all using ChatGPT, and all of AI expanding exponentially-but to what end?
And it’s not just AI-there is so much fakeness and so many scams out there looking real…emails that look official, scam calls, scam packages at the post office of things you didn’t order, AI Instagram accounts that look like real people and how about that expired car warranty for the car you don’t have?
People are manipulating their faces and bodies to the point of no longer looking human. Who decided that duck lips fake butts were desirable?
What is even real anymore people?
The other day I was at the bank and an elderly man was in the process of being scammed. The two tellers were trying to talk him down and get off the phone with the scammer who was secretly listening to the transaction and telling him not to say he was on the line. We were behind him on line waiting about 10 minutes, but I could overhear the conversation. The poor man was about to take out $15,000 to purchase cryptocurrency for the scammer. The bankers were familiar with this scenario so they finally made him hang up before he got GOT. And he almost did.
This is just a PSA for all of us to be careful and diligent always double check. And money scammers always want you to do things quickly so that’s a sign..

When you’re younger, you don’t usually worry about things like ingrown toenails. But as you get older you’re walking around fine, and then BAM, they start hurting. And somehow, when your feet hurt, your whole body hurts.
Sure, when you go to get a regular pedicure, they can address it temporarily, but they always come back. But now it was affecting everything. My toes were hurting even while wearing sneakers, and so I had to take matters into my own hands or my own feet I should say- as it were.
The procedure was pretty painless and the only thing I felt was the pinch of the needles on either side of my big toe to numb them. It was over before I knew it. The experience was worse in my mind than IRL.
So what was the procedure you ask? The Dr. removed the ingrown edge of the nail and, destroyed the nail root so it won’t grow back. I’m OK with that.
We older folks are doing OK out here in these IG streets, but sometimes getting older sucks!!Not gonna lie😲🤣
But we keep it moving, and we Stay Fly!!!
If you need to get it done, just go get it done!
Ahhhh the 70s!
It was a time when we wore our best outfit to class, to work, to dinner, to nowhere special at all. Platforms clicking on city sidewalks, palazzos catching the breeze, and enough confidence to think nothing of changing trains in heels before a full workday. We didn’t call it “aesthetic.” We just got dressed and lived our lives. I can hear the soundtrack of 70s music in my head right now.
Back then in Brooklyn, everybody had somewhere to be and wanted to look good getting there. Running for the train, in thise crazy heels, mind you…music blasting from somebody’s window, corner stores, summer block heat, long days in Manhattan, and somehow still making it home looking fly. New York in the 70s had grit, style, hustle, attitude—and if you came up in that era, you know there was nothing soft about it. We earned every bit of our swagger.
