I just got tired of putting eyeliner on every single day again because the permanent liner that I had done a few years ago was starting to fade. So it was time to refresh them, and I have been searching for a while and didn’t feel like driving two hours down to the Phoenix area, or wait until I went back to NYC, so I found Natural Beauty By Kelly who does permanent make up in the area. Now it’s just a half hour drive instead.
Now I can truly say, “I woke up like this!!!”

Episode 1: Feeling Dusty
Thanks for your response to my last gray hair post. I see many of you are on a gray hair journey too, so this is my story from having a thick luxurious head of hair, ( see slide 2 video) to the damaged, dyed and bleached hair that led me to ditching the dye after 30 years. I knew it was time when even the mirror sighed — my hair was tired, and so was I. My son @dad_hat718 kept saying, “Mom, embrace your inner Storm.” Took me a few years to realize… he was right.
Whenever new grays showed, I felt like I looked dusty. Sometimes dusty is just divine waiting to shine. This is the beginning of the end of dyeing my hair. My big decision was made in late 2018.

Curly in the summer, straight in the winter…I like change and the versatility of switching back and forth. So I’ll be going back to straight for the cooler weather in a few days. I’ll see how it goes and how long it lasts when I go to the gym,but for now I’m welcoming the change🍁🍁Plus it’s hard to wear hats with this puffy hair!!😂

Would you ever let your natural gray grow in?
Okay, I admit it — this AI thing is getting out of hand! I was just playing around and somehow it turned into a full-blown time travel adventure with me and Dave. One minute we’re in the roaring ’20s, the next we’re grooving through the ’60s and rocking the ’80s. I can’t decide if it’s hilarious, creepy, or kind of amazing — maybe all three!
I know I said I wasn’t going to get sucked into this AI craze, but honestly… it’s too entertaining not to. It’s wild to see what technology can do — and a little reminder that no matter the decade, some things (and some people 😉) never go out of style.
