Love at Any Age

Love is Possible Over 40, 50, 60 and Beyond

Dave & Adelina’s Wedding

We met five years ago online.

Yes, online.

Love is possible over 40, 50, 60 and beyond, so I’m here to tell y’all.

After my divorce, I was on and offline for a few years. It’s scary at first, exasperating and disappointing at times. I’m not gonna lie. I tried a few different sites, and from time to time I would update my profile, and sometimes I would just go off-line altogether. After a while, I became adept at scoping out scammers, players, and dudes that were not a match. At this age, one does not want to waste time.

It is not always a quick process, and it actually took about four years on and offline until I met Dave. I loved his sense of humor and communication style. We are both believers in Christ first, and have similar views in life. These things were foundational and we had good chemistry when we met, so the rest is history.

Obviously, I have since gone Silver👑

I want to offer hope and encouragement to those over 40 and beyond who think it’s not possible. I know quite a few silver sisters who’ve met their significant others over the age of 50.

It is Possible.

Finding mature love over the age of 40, 50, and even 60 can be a beautiful and rewarding experience. Age is just a number, and it’s never too late to find love and companionship.

There are many ways to meet new people in this day and age, despite the challenges of the pandemic. One way is to try online dating, which has become increasingly popular and accessible in recent years. Many dating websites and apps cater specifically to older adults looking for love and companionship. It’s important to be honest and upfront about your intentions and what you’re looking for in a relationship. Take your time getting to know someone before you meet in person, and always prioritize your safety and well-being.

Another way to meet people is through social activities and groups. Joining a club or organization that aligns with your interests can be a great way to connect with like-minded individuals. You might also consider volunteering, attending cultural events, or taking a class. The key is to put yourself out there and be open to new experiences and opportunities.

Remember that finding mature love is not about settling for less or compromising your values and priorities. It’s about finding someone who complements and enhances your life, and who shares your goals and values. Be patient, stay positive, and trust that the right person is out there for you. Age is just a number, and the hope of finding mature love is always within reach.

Finding love at a mature age can be an incredibly rewarding and joyful experience. While many people believe that love is something that is reserved for the young, the truth is that love knows no age limit. In fact, many people find that they are better equipped to appreciate and cherish a new relationship when they are a bit older and more experienced.

One of the great joys of finding love at a mature age is the sense of self-awareness and confidence that comes with age. When you have lived for several decades, you have had the chance to explore your own interests, values, and beliefs. You know who you are and what you want out of life, which can be incredibly attractive to potential partners.

Another benefit of finding love later in life is the opportunity to share your life experiences with someone who has a similar perspective. You have both likely weathered your fair share of life’s ups and downs, and you can draw upon that shared history to deepen your connection. You may find that you have a greater appreciation for each other’s wisdom and life lessons, which can be incredibly valuable as you navigate the challenges of a new relationship.

At the same time, finding love at a mature age can also bring a sense of renewed vitality and energy. It can be invigorating to explore new interests and experiences with someone who shares your enthusiasm. Whether you are trying new hobbies, exploring new parts of the world, or simply enjoying each other’s company, a new relationship can infuse your life with excitement and passion.

Finally, finding love at a mature age can be incredibly inspirational for others around you. By pursuing love and happiness in your later years, you can show others that it is never too late to find joy and fulfillment in life. You can serve as an example of resilience, courage, and hope, inspiring others to take a chance on love and follow their hearts.

In short, finding love at a mature age can be a truly magical experience. It can bring a sense of self-awareness, confidence, shared history, vitality, and inspiration to your life. So if you are over 40, 50, or beyond, don’t give up on love. Instead, embrace the possibilities that lie ahead and open yourself up to the joys of a new relationship. You never know what wonderful surprises may be waiting for you just around the corner.

Curly in the summer, straight in the winter…I like change and the versatility of switching back and forth. So I’ll be going back to straight for the cooler weather in a few days. I’ll see how it goes and how long it lasts when I go to the gym,but for now I’m welcoming the change🍁🍁Plus it’s hard to wear hats with this puffy hair!!😂

Do you switch it up with the changing of the seasons?

Last year around this time…
Sedona never gets old — those red rocks hit different every single time! 🌄 Last year’s Pink Jeep adventure was all thrills, dust, and wind-blown gray hair giving main character energy. If you know, you know… Sedona just does something to your soul.

Have you experienced Sedona?
Okay, I admit it — this AI thing is getting out of hand! I was just playing around and somehow it turned into a full-blown time travel adventure with me and Dave. One minute we’re in the roaring ’20s, the next we’re grooving through the ’60s and rocking the ’80s. I can’t decide if it’s hilarious, creepy, or kind of amazing — maybe all three!

I know I said I wasn’t going to get sucked into this AI craze, but honestly… it’s too entertaining not to. It’s wild to see what technology can do — and a little reminder that no matter the decade, some things (and some people 😉) never go out of style.
Are you working with AI these days?

Which era do you like best for us?

The first day at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta was a total bust. The weather was gorgeous, but the wind had other plans—too strong for the balloons to fly. Six hours on the road, anticipation sky-high, and not a single balloon lifted. We were told this could happen… but still, disappointment hit hard.(Check out my other Albuquerque video)

But we weren’t leaving defeated. We’ve wanted to see this for years—it’s been on our bucket list forever. So, we got up the next morning, determined. And this time, the sky rewarded us. (Thanks so much for the parking pass @deebookattic !!)
The glow, the colors, the sound of burners firing against the sunrise—it was everything we dreamed it would be and more.

Life’s like that sometimes. The first try doesn’t always lift off. The timing feels off. The wind says no. But if you stay patient, show up again, and give it one more chance… the beauty reveals itself. We’re so glad we came back the next day! They say it’s darkest before dawn, and your blessings are sometimes right on the other side of adversity, so be patient and don’t give up!!!

Have you gone to the Balloon Fiesta? Would you like to go? Let me know your thoughts!

It was supposed to be a sky full of color, but the winds had other plans. Still, the day was gorgeous—warm, golden, and far too nice to complain about. As someone who believes 60 degrees is winter, I wasn’t mad at the sunshine one bit. We may not have seen the big balloon show we came for, but there’s something to be said for slowing down, chatting with good people, and enjoying the moment you’re in.

Tomorrow, we’ll try again—because that’s what we do. Sometimes life gives you wind instead of lift, but you show up anyway, lipstick on, coffee in hand, ready for another round. The balloons can wait; the joy’s in the journey.

We met when we both were 60…
Things to think about when you’re looking for love over 50:

* That perfect Prince in shining armor didn’t show up yet, so it might be time to refresh your
dating checklist. I’m not saying settle for anyone, but reassess your requirements. As we age, it might be something like wanting someone in good health, and pretty fit like you. Be flexible about things that were dealbreakers before.

 * You get what you get- there’s no changing him or changing you after all these years.
Personalities are pretty much set.
Allow the other person their being-ness.
We all come from different upbringings and backgrounds. Respect , learn, and let them be.

* Be prepared to weather the storms and ups and downs of another persons’ personality and decide whether or not you can deal with it.

Finally…my favorite quote about love:

“Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction”
a quote from French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

For us, this rings true because Christ is the center of our relationship. Aligning on faith and politics ensures a smoother ride than if you’re diametrically opposed on values. Just saying.

So open your heart and keep hope alive!

Love is possible over 40,50,60 and beyond!
