Love at Any Age

Love is Possible Over 40, 50, 60 and Beyond

Dave & Adelina’s Wedding

We met five years ago online.

Yes, online.

Love is possible over 40, 50, 60 and beyond, so I’m here to tell y’all.

After my divorce, I was on and offline for a few years. It’s scary at first, exasperating and disappointing at times. I’m not gonna lie. I tried a few different sites, and from time to time I would update my profile, and sometimes I would just go off-line altogether. After a while, I became adept at scoping out scammers, players, and dudes that were not a match. At this age, one does not want to waste time.

It is not always a quick process, and it actually took about four years on and offline until I met Dave. I loved his sense of humor and communication style. We are both believers in Christ first, and have similar views in life. These things were foundational and we had good chemistry when we met, so the rest is history.

Obviously, I have since gone Silver👑

I want to offer hope and encouragement to those over 40 and beyond who think it’s not possible. I know quite a few silver sisters who’ve met their significant others over the age of 50.

It is Possible.

Finding mature love over the age of 40, 50, and even 60 can be a beautiful and rewarding experience. Age is just a number, and it’s never too late to find love and companionship.

There are many ways to meet new people in this day and age, despite the challenges of the pandemic. One way is to try online dating, which has become increasingly popular and accessible in recent years. Many dating websites and apps cater specifically to older adults looking for love and companionship. It’s important to be honest and upfront about your intentions and what you’re looking for in a relationship. Take your time getting to know someone before you meet in person, and always prioritize your safety and well-being.

Another way to meet people is through social activities and groups. Joining a club or organization that aligns with your interests can be a great way to connect with like-minded individuals. You might also consider volunteering, attending cultural events, or taking a class. The key is to put yourself out there and be open to new experiences and opportunities.

Remember that finding mature love is not about settling for less or compromising your values and priorities. It’s about finding someone who complements and enhances your life, and who shares your goals and values. Be patient, stay positive, and trust that the right person is out there for you. Age is just a number, and the hope of finding mature love is always within reach.

Finding love at a mature age can be an incredibly rewarding and joyful experience. While many people believe that love is something that is reserved for the young, the truth is that love knows no age limit. In fact, many people find that they are better equipped to appreciate and cherish a new relationship when they are a bit older and more experienced.

One of the great joys of finding love at a mature age is the sense of self-awareness and confidence that comes with age. When you have lived for several decades, you have had the chance to explore your own interests, values, and beliefs. You know who you are and what you want out of life, which can be incredibly attractive to potential partners.

Another benefit of finding love later in life is the opportunity to share your life experiences with someone who has a similar perspective. You have both likely weathered your fair share of life’s ups and downs, and you can draw upon that shared history to deepen your connection. You may find that you have a greater appreciation for each other’s wisdom and life lessons, which can be incredibly valuable as you navigate the challenges of a new relationship.

At the same time, finding love at a mature age can also bring a sense of renewed vitality and energy. It can be invigorating to explore new interests and experiences with someone who shares your enthusiasm. Whether you are trying new hobbies, exploring new parts of the world, or simply enjoying each other’s company, a new relationship can infuse your life with excitement and passion.

Finally, finding love at a mature age can be incredibly inspirational for others around you. By pursuing love and happiness in your later years, you can show others that it is never too late to find joy and fulfillment in life. You can serve as an example of resilience, courage, and hope, inspiring others to take a chance on love and follow their hearts.

In short, finding love at a mature age can be a truly magical experience. It can bring a sense of self-awareness, confidence, shared history, vitality, and inspiration to your life. So if you are over 40, 50, or beyond, don’t give up on love. Instead, embrace the possibilities that lie ahead and open yourself up to the joys of a new relationship. You never know what wonderful surprises may be waiting for you just around the corner.

Merry Christmas from our house to yours! Thank you for stopping by.
Just a reminder that Christ Jesus is the reason for the Season, and gave us the greatest gift of all-eternal life.

“For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”Isaiah 9:6

“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”
1 John 5:11

Brooklyn, early 1960s.
Four years old. Wide-eyed. Holding court on Santa’s lap like I had a list and opinions.

This was likely downtown on Fulton Street, at the old A&S — back when department stores felt magical, Santa felt real, and Brooklyn at Christmas had a hum you could feel in your bones. The giant Christmas tree near the elevators, and there were so many people shopping you could barely move! The kind of place where moms dressed you up, dads waited patiently, and the city felt smaller, safer, and full of promise.

I can almost smell the waffles in McCrory’s, hear the street noise outside, feel the excitement of being seen and remembered. A little girl in a big city, already soaking it all in. These are the moments that shape us — before life layers us up, before time speeds ahead.

Proof that nostalgia isn’t just memory… it’s feeling. And some of it never leaves you.

Brooklyn raised me. Christmas held me. And that little girl is still right here.
