Transitioning to gray hair can be a beautiful journey. It’s about celebrating your natural beauty and letting go of society’s expectations.
Transitioning to gray hair can be a beautiful journey. It’s about celebrating your natural beauty and letting go of society’s expectations.
The God who made the universe knows MY name and has plans to prosper ME?! Any way you slice it, that means I am too blessed to be stressed!
Growing up in the Brooklyn housing projects wasn’t just a chapter in my life; it was the foundation upon which I built my dreams and aspirations.
Designers are drawing inspiration from the 70’s, giving classic pieces a contemporary makeover.
In a world that often equates beauty with youth, it takes a big dose of confidence and a sprinkle of humor to flip the script, showing that gray hair isn’t just a sign of aging—it’s a badge of honor. It tells tales of wisdom, experience, and unabashed self-love.
The choice to embrace your natural silver strands is nothing short of revolutionary. It’s like telling the world, “I am comfortable in my own skin, and I’m here to slay.”
Episode 3:
When I first whispered the idea of going gray to Dave, I half-expected resistance. My family was already supportive-but this was a fairly new relationship when I decided to make a drastic change-and men are visual creatures. You know how it is — we brace ourselves for opinions before anyone even gives one. But when I told my then-boyfriend, now husband, that I was ready to embrace my grays, he surprised me. Supportive, a little cautious, but he didn’t flinch.
I moved forward anyway. First came the dread extensions. Then, when enough silver pushed through, I added gray braids. That’s when everything clicked — the visual made it real. We both finally saw what my future hair would look like, and he loved it.
If you’re on this journey too, here’s what I learned: once you accept it, the people who love you follow your lead. Confidence is contagious. And yes, having someone like Dave in your corner helps, but the real turning point was me choosing to own it.
Your gray story begins the moment you decide to stop hiding from yourself. The rest falls into place.
Are you on the fence, but afraid of what others might think?
I dare say once you approve of yourself, everyone else will fall in line.

There are lots of baby bloomers out there. Are you considering a gray hair journey?
When you’re in the thick of a dark season, it’s hard to see the light of day. After getting covid in 2021, I lost about two thirds of my hair’s thickness. Clumps of hair were coming out in my comb and was washing down the drain. It was frightening! I’ve had ultra-thick luxurious hair forever. I was the envy of many, and the loss of my signature mane was devastating. Even more so because I had recently become a Silver Sister, and a Gray Hair Influencer. What now???!! This was a cosmic joke. My fluffy gray mane had become limp and lifeless. I was just finding my stride on social media, and then this! No more glorious hair pics, and my hair had been my identity for decades. I had to do something. I know a lot of women suffer hair loss after menopause, covid, or just due to the aging process, but I wasn’t goin out like that!!!
So here are the products I used to help in my hair loss recovery.
Comment “Hair” below to get a link with the exact products I used.
1. @viviscal supplements-my hair stopped shedding and falling out within one week.
2. @hair.biology Thickening Treatment
3. @kerotinhaircare Volumizing Mousse
4. @naturesbounty Hair, Skin, Nails Gummies
5. Collagen Peptides.
6. @joico Defy Damage Conditioner
What I’m using now to maintain:
7. Mild by Nature Thickening Shampoo
8. Get Flawless by Ijala Hair and Body Butter and Luscious Deep Conditioner

Be patient and creative. It might take a while, but I promise, you’ll be back! This, too shall pass…even though it didn’t feel like it!

Blessed to get a last vacation in for 2025. Puerto Vallarta was lovely, and lively. A real tropical paradise.
Until next time…
Have you ever visited Puerto Vallarta?

We often talk about the negatives surrounding menopause, like weight gain and a slower metabolism during perimenopause and menopause — but what we don’t talk about as much is how our bust sizes can suddenly increase during that phase. Peri, post, whatever stage you’re in — those changes are real, and they catch a lot of us by surprise.
Back in the day—long before breast implants were a thing—my younger self noticed that women around 45 and up always seemed a bit more buxom and busty than younger women. I never really understood it or gave it much thought… until my menopause breasts appeared.
My decades-long 34B cups had suddenly become very full, and that unsolicited cleavage was making its presence known in every top I wore. When I finally went for a proper fitting, I was shocked to discover I was now a 34DD! Not that I ever contemplated getting breast implants—but I certainly didn’t need them now!
Our bodies keep changing — even our busts, and I’m not mad at it!!
Did you notice a difference during peri or menopause?

Chapter 2: The Cover-Up Queen
Every two to three weeks, I was at war with the roots. Box dye, salon dye, henna, highlights— I was basically conducting a science experiment on my scalp. It wasn’t vanity; it was survival.
Thinking about it now, when the grays would start growing in, I would see people avert their gaze upward towards my hairline, not saying anything, but I know they saw I was looking dusty😂
But even then, I knew… the gray wasn’t losing. It was just waiting for me to surrender.
I was going to Costa Rica with Dave, so I put dreads in to start the process.
Thanks for following my journey. Share it with someone who’s thinking about going gray, or is on the fence.
To be continued…

Happy Birthday Kris @krisplashed !
I’m So Blessed to see you grow into the man you are today…dedicated, driven, and a praying man🙏🏽
You’ve always had a plan, a list, and a goal. Your capacity to execute your ideas is unmatched and I admire your quest for learning, reaching, and improving. ALWAYS.
Believe it or not, I still have the hair from your first haircut, and I’m playing Usher because you really liked him back in the day!
“Lord, I pray You make my son like a tree planted by streams of water,
bearing fruit in every season,
his leaf never withering, and all he does prospers.”
— Psalm 1:3
Father, cover my son with Your peace and power.
Let no weapon formed against him prosper,
and remind him daily that he was built for greatness.
(Isaiah 54:17)
Happy 33!! Love you to the moon and back!!!
